NCS congratulates KCCA FC for winning Azam Premier League

National Council of Sports (NCS) has congratulated KCCA FC for winning the Azam Uganda Premier League 2016-2017.

NCS general secretary Nicholas Muramagi said that the club players, and officials and coach Mike Mutebi in particular deserved recognition the victory because the team has exhibited exceptional performances in the last two years.

“KCCA has had good performances in both local and international competitions. It is not by chance especially if you follow activities at the club. I urge all other sports clubs to emulate them,” Muramagi said.

For KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi winning the second successive Azam Uganda Premier League trophy with two games to end of the 2016-2017 season and reaching CAF Confederations Cup group stage disproves his critics.

KCCA retained the Azam Uganda Premier League title with a 2-0 win over Lweza at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Tuesday evening.

It is their 12th title of the league. The Kasasiro boys as they are commonly reffered to have won the league in 1976, 1977, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1991, 1997, 2007-2008, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2016-2017.
